Mascot provides an effective solution to erosive Wellhead Control valve service using Tungsten Carbide internal trim components
Mascot Australia was asked to solve internal trim erosion problem common to Oil & Gas producers on Wellhead applications. The cost effective solution provided by Mascot Australia involved supplying Tungsten Carbide trim components which effectively negated premature trim wear.
The tungsten carbide hard facing covered the full contour areas of the valve Plug and Seat as well as the Lower Guide area on the one piece plug stem. The hardness of the tungsten carbide is 82 Rockwell C and provides an excellent barrier against high velocity sand in Oil & Gas applications.
